ATLChris: GrabUp - What a Timesaver!

  • Klein · 1 year ago
GrabUp has been a faithful friend, and truly isn't all that surprising that it became a paid app. Really thrilled they added "delete after grab". The fact that pro offers FTP customization is pretty wicked. Interested in how well that works. Would like to see a "delete grabs after ## [months/days]" option.

Using Twitter is a great way to PR. Your program sounds really interesting. Something I could use.

Programming is like building roads, highways and byways... something I find utterly fascinating.

    Here is my shot! @ReikiTweet

Sorry, I was kinda in a hurry when I posted it. Just got the reply by
email and figured I would give you a little better reply.

I have not yet tried the service, but didn't know about it before now.
I read what you wrote and said I got to have it. I have had this issue
a lot, especially using gmail's interface.

So, sorry for the "count me in"

    Thanks!

    Tim

btw: you can count me out - didn't realize they didn't have a windows version - thks

    chosen at random eh??

but how can we know that?

hmm... will grabup work on a google maps site like http://gruvr.com ?
If so I have a use for it coming up, to release some news about a new feature to various bloggers...
  • Chris Lentz · 1 year ago
Yes, I tested it and it worked fine with that site. As for the randomness, what can I say I do choose randomly.

    I wish they'd have a windows version too :(
  • Chris Lentz · 1 year ago
I talked with the creator of this program and he told me that is the next step in the game. They are currently debugging the new v2.0, but he said that a Windows version is in the works.

How does it compare to Skitch?
  • Chris Lentz · 1 year ago
I have never heard of Skitch. Is it the same type of program?
  • Dave C. · 1 year ago
    Yeah, it's what I currently use - http://www.skitch.com/.
  • Louis C. · 1 year ago
You can't draw anything onto the pics but it's much, much faster than Skitch. I personally prefer Jing to skitch.

GrabUp is so potent it made my wife pregnant just by using it. So, ladies let this be a warning to you. GrabUp is that good. Seriously, I don't know what I would do without it.

For the record I use it with Skitch and Sequence and find it provides the best value for sharing screen grabs with co-workers out of the three.
  • Chris Lentz · 1 year ago
Awesome, I will have to remember that when it comes time for this world to experience what it would be like with little ATLChris' running around.
